Nicole Soto-Ortega is Of Counsel at Suarez Law, focusing on Estate Planning Matters.
A Miami native, Nicole earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Criminal Justice from Florida International University before obtaining her Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law, where she graduated Cum Laude in the top 10% of her class. She maintained Dean’s List status throughout law school and received the CALI Book Award in Guardianship Law. Nicole served as Executive Notes and Comments Editor on the St. Thomas Law Review and as President of the Elder Law Society. She also served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Maria M. Korvick, Circuit Court Judge in the Probate Division of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit in Miami-Dade County.
Following law school, Nicole returned to the Eleventh Judicial Circuit as an Attorney Case Manager serving the Honorable Jerald Bagley and subsequently the Honorable Jorge E. Cueto, Circuit Court Judge in the Probate Division of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit in Miami-Dade County. She then gained experience in civil litigation as Staff Counsel for one of the nation’s leading insurance companies before focusing her practice exclusively on estate planning and probate matters.
Nicole is the founder of Alma Law PLLC in Doral, Florida, where she has built a dedicated estate planning and probate practice serving individuals and families across South Florida.
